Shopping Edit // Crushing On: Blush Crush

A lot has happened since my last post. My beautiful daughter, Lola, was born September last year. 3 and a half weeks later my brother, Robert, passed away. He was 41 years old. There is so much emotion, so much I could say, maybe when the time is right. The last 6-10 months has been a blur. It explains my absence and has taught me that life is short, and we should live for every day. Life can change in an instant. You really have to make the most of it.

So I've decided to bring back the blog side of My Mini Abode to share the things I love (and hopefully you will too) - interiors, lifestyle, adventures, and of course, kids interiors (Lola's nursery) and more.

'Crushing On' will share all the things I'm lusting for (let's be honest, there's a lot!). In my first 'Crushing On' edit I'm having a major blush crush. I've never been into pink or pastels much but having a girl does something to you. Am i right?! Blush and pink tones are bang on trend in interiors at the moment and I think they might be here to stay for a while. Here are my major blush crushes...

Mirror in Blush // Middle of Nowhere
Sweetest addition to a nursery, bedroom or any space. I have this in Lola's room but I know it will fit anywhere within our home if we change things up or move house.

Dusty Pink Romper // Hubble and Duke
Have you ever seen anything so divine? These linen/cotton rompers are made locally in Western Australia and I can vouch for their quality. Yes, another divine piece to be found in Lola's nursery! Let's just say I'm loving shopping for a girl. This is an heirloom piece, one to be handed down to the next gen.

Blush Furniture
Pink tones are bang on trend in interiors right now. Think blush, rose gold, baby pink, even peach. It really is a versatile colour. Team with neutrals, white or grey for a pared down look or amp up the WOW factor with teal, yellow and mustard. And the pink sofa? Trend or Classic? Either way, I love it!

Baby Pink Velvet Penny Round Cushion // Castle and Things
These babies sell like hot cakes. I've wanted one for Lola's room for ages but every time they're back in stock they're gone in a flash. Because, gorgeous! I've seen many other lovely penny rounds on the market but Rachel Castle was the first. Lola has the gold penny round but there's something about the luxurious feel of velvet that you can't beat. Especially for those 4am night feeds.

Alexa Quilt Cover // Sage and Clare
One of the great things about Instagram is discovering products that you might never have crossed paths with. Enter Sage and Clare. If you like colour, texture and ethical artisanal wares then you'll love Sage and Clare. (And I always have a soft spot for people from my hometown!) Part of the new Atlas Collection, this Alexa quilt cover is on my 'my-birthday-is-coming-up-soon-please-buy-this-for-me-hubby' list. Just gotta make sure he sees this!
